My work is highly influenced by internalized experiences of being a part of the Black diaspora. By utilizing cultural objects, and interrogating collective and personal memory, I aim to create works that engage in authentic exploration and deliberate preservation. I recognize that memory work operates at the intersection of necessity and desire — where we archive what we cannot afford to lose and tend to what we refuse to forget.
